• Day 1 (June 14, 2004):
  • 0900-1600 Workshop on "Traceability in EMC testing and measurements"
    The workshop will be given by Jochen Glimm, PTB of Germany and Kjell Bergh of Nemko, Norway. The workshop will be at the hotel Vika Atrium Conference Centre.
  • 1900 Conference dinner at the hotel.
    
    
    
• Day 2 (June 15, 2004):
  • 0900-1500 "Practical Laboratory meeting".
    This will be at Nemko head office, Gaustadaleen 30, Oslo. A visit to the laboratory at the head office is included. After lunch it will be arranged a bus trip to our other EMC laboratory at Kjeller, near Oslo. Kjeller is the location of the Nemko subsidiary Nemko ComLab. Since Kjeller is on the way to the airport, it may be convenient for those who plan to leave Oslo Tuesday evening by air. The high-speed train stops every 20 minutes at Lillestrom, 5 minutes by taxi from ComLab.

It is assumed that each participant makes his own hotel reservation directly to the hotel.

Hotel may be booked at the conference hotel, Vika Atrium. A block of rooms are reserved at a price of NOK 985 per person per night. This includes buffet breakfast.

Please use the attached booking form as it contains full reference to the pre-booked rooms. The pre-booking expires at May 20. Any reservation later than this date may not be honoured. If rooms are available after the deadline date, the price is no longer valid.

If you book by telephone, please refer to the Nemko reservation, reservation numbers 2448451 or 2448452, depending on arrival dates June 12 or June 13. It is assumed that no one is able to arrive Oslo Monday morning June 14 and still reach the opening of the workshop.

Workshop participation:

Please notify the organisers of your participation, when you expect to arrive and when you intend to leave. If you do not want to take part in the workshop dinner Monday night, please give notice.

Arrival by air:

The main airport for Oslo is Oslo Airport Gardermoen. It is situated 45 km north of Oslo centre.

A high-speed train service is available directly from the airport. Just follow signs after customs clearance. The train fare is NOK 150 from the airport to Oslo. It stops at the "Main Station" and at "Nationaltheatret" (The national Theatre). You may take a taxi from the Main Station. It is walking distance from the Nationaltheatret station (500 m along Munkedamsveien).

Alternatively, the Airport Bus, leaving from stand 13 just outside the arrival zone will bring you to Oslo (There are also so-called "Airport Express buses", but they do not go to the centre, rather to different destinations in the suburbs).
The Airport Bus costs NOK 105 to Oslo. Its nearest stop is "Radisson SAS Hotel", the last stop. Walking distance is approximately 800 m.

Arrival by train:

You will arrive at Main Station and take a taxi to the hotel Vika Atrium.

Arrival by ferry from Denmark.

There are two quais that ferries arrive at. Please inquire at landing how to get there. One of the possibilities are within walking distance, the other will require taxi, unless you are prepared for a 1,5 km walk.
